Inspired by a trip to Sicily where owners Emma & Dan noticed a similarity between Western Australian and Southern Italian culture, No Mafia compliments an Italian menu and wine list with some of the best of Australia’s small batch wine scene.

Their frequent wine collaborations include Australian gems like Dormilona and Unico Zelo, along with great value house wines by independent local winemakers.

Strange Company

Strange Company’s extensive wine list is daunting but rewards discovery: their long list is ordered into flavour profiles so finding your perfect glass or bottle from an already exciting list is made simpler and easier.

Besk

Alongside collaborative wines with Dormilona and Eagle Bay, the Besk wine list is comprehensive and bespoke—another tick on a powerhouse of Perth hospitality.

The wine experience is made yet better by well-priced carafes and an in-house bottle shop where the listed wines and much more are made available to take home.

Lalla Rookh

The CBD’s best hidden restaurant and bottle shop is built upon Italian food and wine, but Lalla Rookh isn’t afraid to share the stage with bottles from similar minded local boutique winemakers.

Petition Wine Merchant

One of Perth’s originators of the “Bottle shop you can drink in” ethos, Petition Wine Merchant is a showcase of local superstar sommellier Emma Farrely’s prowess, and also a cosy hideaway from the bustle of Perth city.

Wines of While

Entirely committed to no and low-sulphur wine, the parades of young, hip looking people outside Wines of While may seem intimidating until you realise they’re all here for the same thing you are: Smart, smashable wine in a no-frills venue.

Balthazar

No Mafia owners Emma and Dan step the focus on good food with wine to match up to another level at Balthazar.

While the beautiful wine list stands up on its own, it would be a shame to visit and to miss the incredible food put out by head chef Luke Wakefield.

Tiny’s

With an open, pumping atmosphere, Tiny’s reads very much as one of those big neighbourhood Pubs updated for a modern audience: The fitout is all contemporary midcentury inspired warmth, and the wine list filled with local and small batch wines compliments perfectly.
