We spoke to Tania about where the couple and their young family enjoy their weekends in Perth.
Welcome to Second Opinion, our series interviewing some of Perth's best restauranteurs, chefs and producers on where they go to eat on their days off.
Tania and Ryan are the owners and operators of Perth’s mecca for great Italian food and pizza Monsterella, and its sister wine bar Mummucc.
We spoke to Tania about where the couple and their young family enjoy their weekends.
“We cook and live Italian food, so we don’t eat it when we’re out.” said Tania, “Shadow Wine Bar is our regular, we go early with the kids at 5pm, and we’re often out by 6. My kids can run amok, and we get the place practically to ourselves.”
“We’ll often go to Brika if we need a quick meal, they’ve just got in a new greek chef and the food has become incredible.” She said of Perth’s understated Meze bar off Beaufort Street.
“We also love Petition for their great food, and finish the evening at Chi Cho for gelato.”
“Finally, we love Madelenas in South Fremantle for Sunday lunch” said Tania of the seafood obsessed wine bar. “That’s pretty much our whole rotation”
